• Quarterfinalist feedback from 2016 ScreenCraft Short Story Contest Evaluation of Gibbous Moon:
This is a vivid, atmospheric and evocative short piece in which the writer succeeds in creating and maintaining a commanding tone and sense of intrigue. Both Mr. Rynalds and Mr. Walker make an impact as men of means, privilege and expensive, rare tastes, and the story definitely makes us feel as if we are flies on a wall in a very rarified and perhaps even shady milieu. The writer does an excellent job of whetting the reader’s whistle without explicitly defining the premise or rules of the world. Overall, this feels like a teaser to a captivating mystery-thriller populated by fascinating artifacts and characters.
