Tamara Williamson is an emerging writer for television and film who is fascinated with the evolution of storytelling and driven to nurture its diverse capabilities.

As a child, Tamara loved the syndicated shows of the 50s and 60s, and the science fiction, mystery, and fantasy gems of the 80s and 90s. She grew up admiring the powerful storytelling that sparked her imagination and opened her to different parts of the world that were unknown in the Midwest. Once she discovered film her creativity knew no bounds. She was hooked on science fiction and adventure tales and would do whatever she could to watch them. Her mother was clever by exploiting this weakness and would bribe her with trips to matinées if she finished her vegetables.

Recently graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment, Tamara writes diverse character adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays, enjoys using cooking as a plot device, and has an unhealthy interest in rebooting TV shows no one’s heard of.

Tamara currently lives in Oakland, California writing TV spec scripts, developing an original, hour-long, supernatural drama called The Overseer, and nursing her budding obsession for antique typewriters. She is ready to make her move to Los Angeles to pave her new life as a writer so she can bask in sleepless nights fueled by manic creativity, tea, crippling self-doubt, and endless deadlines that can’t be missed.
